1881 Heritage
Formerly the Marine Police Headquarters Compound, 1881 Heritage is now better known as a pre-wedding photoshoot hotspot. You can do just about anything here from viewing lanterns during CNY to getting white-girl wasted at Hullett House for boozy brunch.
Clock Tower
A bona fide national monument, the Clock Tower is all that remains of the old Kowloon station on the Kowloon-Canton Railway, now run by the MTR subway authority.
Chung King Mansions
Contained in a glorious 17 stories and 5 blocks, you can find a delightful hodgepodge of budget hostels, curry restaurants, money changers, and malls. Proceed with caution, but don’t let the sketchiness of the Mansions prevent you from appreciating their true wondrousness.
Nathan Road
Becoming known as the Golden Mile in post World War II times, this stretch of Nathan Road is aptly named for its renowned shops and restaurants. Avoid getting in the way of Mainlanders with their rolly-suitcases; they are likely making a beeline for LV and Gucci.
Avenue of the Stars
Modeled after the Hollywood Hall of Fame, Avenue of the Stars is Hong Kong’s tribute to cinematic achievement. It is also a great vantage point to enjoy the Symphony of Lights.
Ozone at Elements
From lofty heights, you can enjoy your drink at the highest bar in the world here. Don’t be discouraged by the trippy décor and elevator switches on your way up; at 118 floors above ground, it is totally worth it.
