Last October, our co-founder & Creative Director Ling Cai was flown to attend Taipei IN Style. In between trade shows, fashion shows, designer meetings and networking events, Ling got to explore the city with newfound friends, tasting local treats, shopping at night markets, visiting art museums and much more. “It was my first business trip alone to a foreign city. There was something exciting about going to a place where I knew absolutely no one,” shared Ling.

“Nothing grabs my undivided attention like alcohol. This wine-infused bread at Mymore Bakery was very flavorful. I would visit this artisanal bakery on a weekly basis if I lived in Taipei!”
“The neighborhood I stayed at was peppered with tons of cute cafes! My favorite was Ganada Cafe (卡那達咖啡店), a Korean-Taiwanese eatery that offered eclectic fusion options like kimchi panini and shikhye and roasted grain latte.”
“Our photographer took me to the Eslite Spectrum Songyan Store where I suffered a crazy bout of ADD. Darting from one corner to another on each floor, I excitedly checked out the merchandise assortment- from adorable ceramics to avant-garde jewelry, coffee table books to face masks, herbal-scented soaps to shaved ice desserts, there was literally something for everyone.”
“Taipei at night is absolutely breathtaking! We sneaked up to the top of the Eslite Spectrum building just so we could appreciate the view in peace. I kept expecting security to pop out of the blue and tell us to get the hell out!”
“This is one of my favorite pieces by Hong Kong-based jewelry designer Taara. It’s bold, fun and instantly makes your outfit more interesting.”
“Nothing satiates my sugar cravings like fruits- whether it’s cut fruit, freshly squeezed juice or ice pops! The passion fruit popsicle was delicious. Perfect for quenching your thirst on a humid night out.”
“I was curious about this much talked about cafe. Everything you can think of is in the shape of Hello Kitty. The bread, the rice, the desserts, the coasters and everything in between! The food is half decent but there are plenty of photo ops for Hello Kitty fanatics.”
“Interesting. What exactly is baby water?!”
“Back at the hotel to switch into something more comfortable. My day isn’t over till I check out a night market!”
“Hokkaido milk ice-cream! Yes, I should have gone for something more authentic but Japanese food is another weakness of mine! Just couldn’t resist!”
