Thinking they could do away with tradition, jewelry designer Adeline Goh of Ade.G married her husband without a Chinese wedding ceremony. Two years on, they realized the importance of honoring marriage customs and decided to tie the knot once again!

Check out the exclusive photos taken on their wedding day:

“My husband and I are performing a traditional tea ceremony at home.”

“Giving heartfelt thanks to my dearest parents who have been my pillars of support.”

“The wedding photographer was having a hard time. We were told to smile more!”

“My nephew is passing two oranges to me. It’s a Chinese wedding tradition that represents good fortune.”

“I’ve known my husband for 15 years.”

“I absolutely love the oriental feel of this gown I wore for our first wedding march – the high collar, lace and fitting. A feel that I wanted capture in this wedding.”

Ade.G‘s biggest fan is my sister. She is always in one of my pieces. Here she is in a Huely neck candy.”

“Our second wedding march was in this matte gold satin mermaid dress. I deliberately chose this gown to go with my “si dian jin”, which literally translates to “4 touches of gold”, that were given to me by my in-laws. This is a Chinese wedding tradition. These 4 pieces always come as a set and represents a sense of unity.”

“We wanted our guests to have fun and relive childhood days!”

“Our guests loved taking photos! We arranged this photobooth service to keep them entertained throughout the banquet.“
